The published monthly and annual charges

Each paid tier has two prices, one billed every month and one billed once a year.

PlanMonthlyYearlyWhere shown
Premium$19.99$79.99Premium page and App Store
Premium+$24.99$99.99MyFitnessPal blog

The Premium+ figures come from the blog article last updated October 8, 2025. The Premium page does not show a Premium+ price.

The App Store listing includes lower Premium items at $9.99 monthly and $49.99 yearly, without identifying who gets them. MyFitnessPal's Premium page shows $19.99 a month and $79.99 a year.

The help center says country and plan length affect pricing.

What twelve monthly payments add up to

For Premium, $19.99 x 12 = $239.88, compared with $79.99 for the yearly plan. The difference is $239.88 - $79.99 = $159.89.

Dividing $159.89 by $239.88 gives 66.7% saved, rounded to the 67% saving MyFitnessPal shows.

For Premium+, $24.99 x 12 = $299.88, compared with $99.99 yearly. That leaves a difference of $299.88 - $99.99 = $199.89.

Between the yearly plans, $99.99 - $79.99 = $20.00. Spread across the year, $20.00 / 12 = $1.67 a month when rounded, which matches the blog's figure for moving from Premium to Premium+.

Who gets a trial and when billing starts

The Premium page offers a 7-day trial only if you have never had Premium and have never started a Premium trial.

Your card gets its first charge when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. The subscription then renews automatically until cancelled.

The Premium+ sign-up flow in the app also begins with a 7-day trial. The blog says trial length and availability can vary with the account.
