By accessing or using TrueCal ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
TrueCal is operated by SUPERBOX, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms apply to our website at
truecal.com, our web application at
app.truecal.com, and any related ChatGPT integration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use TrueCal. By using the Service,
you represent that you meet this age requirement.
If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will terminate it and delete
any associated data.
3. Your Account
To use TrueCal, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Not share your account with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You can delete your
account at any time through the app settings.
4. Description of Services
TrueCal provides AI-powered calorie and nutrition tracking through integration with ChatGPT.
Our services include:
- Meal logging via natural language through ChatGPT
- Automatic calorie and macro estimation
- Daily and weekly log summaries
- Progress visualization and history
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide
reasonable notice for material changes.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
TrueCal offers a free tier with basic functionality. Free accounts have limited features
compared to Pro subscriptions.
Pro Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions provide access to additional features such as macro tracking, extended
history, and more. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You can cancel anytime through the app or your payment provider
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase (see Refund Policy)
Free Trials
We may offer free trials of Pro features. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will
be automatically charged for a subscription.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at your
next renewal date.
6. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with TrueCal. You may request a refund within 14 days of
purchase. This 14-day refund window has no exceptions or conditions.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@truecal.com
within 14 days of your charge. Please include:
- The email address associated with your account
- The date and amount of the charge
We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed
to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Cancellation vs. Refund
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and any refund
eligibility is based on the 14-day window above.
7. Content and Data
Your Content
You retain ownership of the data you provide to TrueCal, including your meal logs, tracking
preferences, and body measurements. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use this data to provide
and improve the Service.
Our Content
All other content in the Service—including text, graphics, logos, and software—is owned by
TrueCal or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy,
modify, or distribute our content without permission.
Data Accuracy
Nutrition estimates provided by TrueCal are generated by AI and may not be perfectly accurate.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of calorie counts, macro breakdowns, or other nutritional data.
8. Health Disclaimer
TrueCal is not a medical service.
TrueCal is for informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified professional for health concerns.
The information provided through TrueCal is for general informational purposes only and is
not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare
provider before:
- Starting any diet or weight loss program
- Making changes to your nutrition or exercise routine
- Using TrueCal if you have an eating disorder or history of disordered eating
- Relying on nutrition information for medical conditions
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of
something you read or track in TrueCal.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or automated access to the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
10. Termination
You may stop using TrueCal and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or for any
other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum
extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for
a particular purpose
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SUPERBOX, LLC (d/b/a TrueCal) and its officers, directors, employees, and
agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation
of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to
conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by
email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect
constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
